Tim can´t find his left shoe anywhere. He searches for it high and low, until Mrs Grey tells him he will most probably find it in a very special tree. Tim follows the lady´s instructions and hops off to find his shoe.
The characters which appear in this book are puppets I manipulate in a show named “The Shoe Tree”. They are made out of recycled materials such as cloth, wood, socks or cans. The story of The Shoe Tree is inspired by a wishing tree I saw in Paphos, Cyprus. It had pieces of cloth attached to its branches. I have never seen a shoe tree but I know a few exist near the roadside in the US.
